i-Recall 2008

Chris & Denise continue putting a small 'i' in front of just about anything

in a desperate attempt to try to make it sound trendy......

So, back to Tenerife, and our usual request for "a high apartment with a view across the pool please"

That worked, then......

Our balcony is the one with the mug on the white table......time then for some negotiation....

That's better !

That certain something that draws us back every January......

Denise enjoys a stunning view at Los Gigantes

Having enjoyed Pingu for breakfast, Barney was in the mood for some showing off......

Plenty to watch over a Gin & Tonic......

Ah, another lovely sunset, the palm trees, it can only be........Woolacombe in February !

A fine afternoon at The Red Barn.....

Heddon's Mouth the following day

Our boating week at the beginning of May saw some of the best weather of the year.....

The Four Counties Ring with Colin and Roger.....

A fine week !

To Clevedon at the end of May for Tom's birthday barbecue.

Returning from the Isle of Wight with Steve Pemberton, with the Needles just visible behind us....

"Here's to Summer" at Steve & Rachel's barbecue.  That toast worked then !

And so to France. Now then, first things first !

On the River Yonne at Gurgy for the first evening.....

Dusk at Clamecy

Sunset over the Etang de Baye (on our 20th Wedding Anniversary)

Crossing Monsieur Eiffel's other bit of ironwork - the 800m aquaduct over the Loire at Briare.

Meanwhile back in Cardiff, there was a spectacular conclusion to the Welsh All-Comers 'Light Up Your Farts' competition !

..

The council launched their 'Zero-Tolerance for Litter' campaign......

...and I don't like the look of the new traffic wardens either !

Dismal weather for the Flying Proms at Old Warden this year.....

...but it's always good to meet up with old friends !

Our holiday aboard 'Alfred' with Steve & Rachel was also 'rain-affected'....

Bonzo was determined that we should head for the cat which she could see on the towpath !

Denise turned 50 on September 14th (no, I can't believe it either !)

Friends and Family met up for lunch at The Jolly Sailor.

Denise took these photos of Abbots Wood in Autumn....

Back to The Red Barn again - another weekend in Ilfracombe in October....

....with a visit to the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway on the Sunday.

We enjoyed a weekend at Hope Cove in November.....

One man and his dog.....

...enjoying a bit of quality time together !

Even December has given us some lovely photographic conditions this year (unlike the Summer !)

The 'Old' Severn Bridge on December 7th...

...and sunshine at Calais on the 12th....

A fine winter afternoon walk with Bonzo on the 17th - the view from the Mendips looking across Bridgwater Bay towards West Somerset.

Afternoon tea, and a sunset to gaze at - perfect !

Have a great Xmas 2008, and a happy and recession-proof 2009
